2026 6th International Conference on Precision Instruments and Optical Engineering (PIOE 2027)
was successfully held in Jinan from May 22 to 24, 2025!
The conference was hosted by Shandong University, jointly hosted by China Shiyou University (East China), Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences) and Shandong Jianzhu University, and supported by Institute of Automation of China Academy of Sciences, Tianjin University, Tongji University, China University of Mining and Technology and Shandong Institute of Industrial Technology. It attracted more than 100 experts and scholars from China, Canada, Britain, Pakistan and other countries to participate in the conference, and jointly carried out high-level academic exchanges around frontier progress, key technological breakthroughs and innovative applications.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Jiang Mingshun of Shandong University. Professor Zhang Chenghui, IEEE Fellow, Deputy Director of Academic Committee of Shandong University and Dean of School of Control Science and Engineering, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the school.
This conference invited many authoritative experts at home and abroad to give keynote speeches and share the latest research results and technological breakthroughs. The keynote report covers the core directions of nondestructive testing, precision measurement, photoelectric sensing and intelligent algorithm, providing new ideas and paths for technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the field.
The conference set up oral reports and poster presentations simultaneously, and young scholars from universities, research institutes and enterprises at home and abroad shared topics such as ultrasonic guided wave monitoring, acoustic filter design, photoacoustic trace gas detection, ultra-precision machining of optical components, etc., fully demonstrating the innovative vitality of young scientific research forces and promoting the collision of multi-dimensional academic ideas.
The success of this conference not only showed the latest research progress in the field of precision instruments and optical engineering, but also deepened the cooperation between Industry-University-Research and abroad, and promoted the coordinated development of frontier exploration and engineering application. In the future, PIOE conference will continue to focus on the core needs and technical trends in the field, continuously improve academic influence and international exchange level, and continue to build a high-quality platform for scientific and technological innovation, personnel training and industrial upgrading in the field of precision instruments and optical engineering, and help the high-quality development of the field.
